Charlotte, NC — APRIL 22, 2026 — The TAG Awards for MedTech, produced by The Aebli Group, is proud to announce the Class of 2026 winners, recognizing companies advancing what is possible across MedTech, Life Sciences, and BioTech. This year’s honorees were selected for solutions that demonstrate strong design, real-world relevance, market value, and the ability to improve outcomes across the healthcare landscape.
The TAG Awards were created to spotlight the organizations turning innovation into action. Evaluated by experienced industry judges, the program is designed to elevate companies whose technologies stand out not only for novelty, but for execution, usability, and measurable potential for impact.

Among this year’s honorees, HistoSonics’ Edison® System emerged as the leading overall winner in the judges’ scoring, and designated as the TAG Awards TOP INNOVATOR for 2026, earning the highest total score across the field. Judges praised the technology as “a highly transformative solution with the potential to improve outcomes and save lives,” while also highlighting its non-invasive approach to tumor treatment and strong design execution.
Other winners were recognized for tackling major clinical and operational challenges across the continuum of care. From robotic-assisted dental implant surgery and AI-enabled imaging in the operating room, to renal denervation, cardiovascular visualization, controlled substance waste reconciliation, outpatient therapeutic innovation, and billing transparency, the 2026 class reflects the breadth of innovation now shaping modern healthcare.
Aqua Medical is advancing a new category of therapy at the intersection of gastroenterology and metabolic disease. Its through-the-scope radiofrequency vapor ablation (RFVA) platform enables precise mucosal resurfacing using a familiar endoscopic workflow and is FDA cleared for Barrett’s esophagus and GI lesions. The same platform is now being investigated as a minimally invasive approach to treating Type 2 diabetes, reflecting a broader shift toward using the GI tract as a therapeutic target for metabolic disease. One judge noted that Aqua Medical has developed “a truly unique therapy addressing a widespread condition,” highlighting the promise of its RFVA approach as a potential alternative to traditional treatment paths.
“The companies recognized in this year’s TAG Awards are not just introducing new technology. They are solving meaningful problems in ways that are thoughtful, credible, and built for real-world use,” said Justin Starbird, Founder of The Aebli Group and the TAG Awards. “This class represents the kind of innovation that moves industries forward and earns attention from customers, partners, and investors alike.”
The TAG Awards continue to serve as a platform for third-party validation, industry visibility, and long-term credibility for emerging and established innovators alike. Winners gain recognition not only for what they have built, but for the progress they represent across healthcare, medical technology, and the future of patient care.
